October 14. No doubt it was mainly me who wanted the kids to get their bikes. They didn’t seem to care much. I wanted to somehow hold on to this little magical piece from our two years, to let it live on. I wonder if I should tell them that. Whether it would put me in a good light, or a bad one? I’d be totally charmed if I were supposed to ride on my father’s dream. There are other things they actually miss. Those I refuse to bring to them because that is their mother’s business.
