August 29. It really isn’t that I don’t like video calls in general. It’s just that it’s similar to physical conversations, where sometimes I just want to run away. Video conversations merely reach that point sooner and more often, but there are also many where it is never reached.

Been to breakfast at a diner somewhere here in Newburgh. The morphology of such a normal American small town is still completely foreign to me. It doesn’t change the fact that I’ve been in such small towns off and on for years. Nothing fits. It’s not a business park, it’s not a freeway access road, it’s not a country road. It’s a little bit of everything, but really something else.

Told my parents about the newest developments, they were not surprised about them for a second.
