July 21. Went to an orthopedist on Madison Avenue. It’s a little embarrassing that I show up with such harmless aches and pains. Nothing is wrong with me. On the X-rays, the knee joints look like they’ve come out of a 3-D printer. Pain on a scale of zero to ten? Pain? No, I don’t have any pain. A small steroid injection into my shoulder – with a little more patience it would have taken care of itself. I am supposed to go to physiotherapy. I’d rather google the diagnosis that’s written on the referral form and see what exercises I should do.
