July 2. Vaccinated people no longer get sick or infect anyone. They no longer play a role in the infection process and can therefore do whatever they want. This is not true, of course, it’s all probabilities. And that’s why mankind falls into two camps. Those for whom the probabilities are small enough to declare the pandemic over for those who have been vaccinated, and those for whom probabilities are fundamentally unacceptable, who demand #ZeroCovid and for whom nothing is over. I don’t get the impression that there are many who are anywhere between these camps. But that may just be because the camps are loud. In fact, most probably have a subjective impression of the probabilities, somewhere between too high and low enough, and that subjective impression changes over time. It changes, for example, through the rituals and the ritualized abandonment of those rituals. And through the case counts in the graphs.
