April 28. Lost the chess game against my son last night because I completely missed that it was my turn and my time would run out. Annoying, it was such a beautiful game. In this burstingly busy life, it is telling what gets dropped. For example, I don’t get involved with the mails from the Stuttgart philosophers because I shy away from the mental effort and wouldn’t know where in my days to stow it. And I read nothing. Just running, unflinching, never falling behind the training plan. And gym, whenever possible. Recorded a new piano video tonight. It’s all no small feat, but it scares me how uncontrollably I stumble through it.
