April 25, 6.43a. Now we’re finally getting to it. For some unknown reason, I took the thickest comforter out of the closet, which I haven’t used all winter. But even underneath that it doesn’t really get warm. The muscles hurt a bit more than would have been expected after yesterday’s workout at the gym. The infrared thermometer readings, which jump wildly up and down, sometimes jump close to 100 degrees now. Misery. That’s interesting: When you’re miserable, you can’t say: Interesting, I’m miserable. You can only say it miserably that you’re miserable.

7.43a That misery already over again?

11.19a Remaining below the fever limit reliably, but glad I don’t have to go out today. Sleeping.

12.56p Hungry, but don’t want to get up for the microwave.

7.52p Limp day, but just been to the gym. When under load, I feel something is different not only in the muscles but also in the joints. But that will have been it.

The strangeness of talking to each other while making public statements at the same time. You haven’t read everything the other person has said in the last 24 hours, but you could have. I’m ashamed to share something that my counterpart may have already read in a tweet of mine. I’m ashamed to ask something I could have already known from a tweet. But that’s not unusual. There’s no need to feel hurt by it. It’s pure, imperfect information logistics.
