April 8. Last year I wrote about the magnolia on Broadway on March 27, this year it is today. One difference is that this year I can see it from my window. My living room window and my bedroom window, actually, whereas last year there was a wall outside my only window.

Just to see the progress of the cherry blossoms from tree to tree is worth running along the Hudson every evening. These blossoms may be light as a feather, but in these weeks they will weather any storm, while later the slightest breeze will dislodge them.
