March 31. Grandiose performance of my lack of spontaneity. I am thinking that soon, once I have processed the news mentally and the first rush is over, I will look at how it works with the vaccination appointments. L. writes that she will be vaccinated tomorrow. At the Javits Center. She also wants to make an appointment for me right away, she knows her way around now, and we both know I am busy with customers. A few minutes later she’s got me an appointment for the end of May at the Javits Center. You can always cancel it later if something better comes up. I’m like illiterate on the website. At the Javits Center I never see anything even after reloading a hundred times, while for L. the appointments just scurry by. But you have to be crazy fast to get one. Just to have something in hand already, I’m booking for April 13 in Oneonta, two hundred miles away, and there’s a good chance it will stay that way. Manhattan now seems to be sold out, vaccine-wise, like a giant concert.

Apart from that, I ran nano sprint intervals. Fifteen seconds. I’m supposed to run four-thirty per mile, but I have no idea how to do that with my legs. It’s raining and I’m afraid of slipping. I don’t know if I should take the steps longer or faster or longer and faster and where the optimum is. But I can’t really regulate it either. It’s like a jarring stumble. The fastest I can go is four-fifty-seven.
